-OFF GRID UPFITTERS- Below you will find some of our FAVORITE CUSTOM PROJECTS

Over the last couple of years we started to dip our toes into the custom-made world of off-grid living. Starting with one-off creations, truck builds, trailers and cargo interiors, we finally got to custom vans and independent small business vehicles.

When we first ventured into the #vanlife world we were just as starry eyed as you. After several builds and many upgrades we are learning new things every day - mainly that every #vanbuild is an extremely personal experience, where many of your theories get crushed in practice while extremely practical solutions seem to appear out of nowhere (after you’ve failed a couple times in front of your friends).

Owning and building a van is essentially one big R&D project, but that’s exactly why we love it - because at the end of the day we’ve created a #custommade habitat on wheels for somebody - and it’s completely unique to that person.

"THE UNIT"

This was one of our first endeavors into a full blown custom build.

Based on a custom truck bed topper frame we simply added the "bottom" part and made it into a heavy-duty utility trailer (with off-grid adventure capabilities, of course!)
Plenty of cargo space, double rooftop tents, lightbars, Timbren axle-less suspension, bedliner skin, solar power and rear ramp makes this handy trailer a perfect basecamp for any group of adventurers!

"COLORADO COLLOSUS" F550

This crazy truck came to us already loaded with the 'Bowen Customs' bed conversion and Liquid Spring suspension.

Our job was to cover the body with our polyurea coating, match the paint and make it bulletproof. This of course required a complete tear-down to ensure our bedliner material wraps around all edges (especially inside the doors).
We also upfitted it with a custom Bodyguard front bumper-winch combo along with custom Rigid light.
This thing was a MONSTER.

CUSTOM SEAT-DELETEs

We always enjoy a challenge.

When one of our customers came to us looking for a seat-delete kit for his Tacoma we found out the lead time was going to be around 11 weeks... - so, we decided to make one ourselves!
Making custom cabinets, speaker covers and compartments in wood (and plywood), CNC cutting the door covers, custom locks and D-rings and the bedliner material make these seat-delete sets perfect for any occasion, providing plenty of cargo space and storage.

CUSTOM COMMERCIAL VAN INTERIORs

Since these cargo vans come pretty much empty - it gives us total flexibility in designing and upfitting the space to match our customer's specifications.
In our 'custom cargo area' projects, we've dealt with chimney sweeps, lawn care carriers, sound equipment installers, dog groomer, etc. No matter what your needs are, we can design, build, insulate and polyurea coat the space to match your specific needs.

VANLIFE BUILDS

Our first project reaching into the #vanlife conversions.

We got this 2018 #Sprintervan from a long time friend of the shop and we proceeded to completely demo and remodel the entire interior to fit the needs of his small family.

From custom design, furniture fabrication, upholstery and layout we proceeded to upgrade this van, making it truly one of a kind!

330+ work-hours later - here's the result.

MINITRUCK CONVERSIONs

This one was a new avenue for us!

Ryan came to us because he wanted to convert his Japanese Kei truck into a portable bookstore!
The box was already there - but he wanted the entire side of it to open up, revealing the book shelves inside.
We had the truck wrapped and bedlined (turning it black), fabricated a custom side-door with lights and made some side panels to cover the battery box etc.
This is an ongoing project as well. Ryan will be back for a lift-kit and a wheel/tire upgrade.
So far the truck has been a success and people can't get enough of it!
(the 270 TopOak awning was the latest addition)

The LuxPaw CUSTOM DOG CARRIER

This one came out of nowhere and became an instant classic!
We had to pull of our vanlife knowledge together for this one, as it was a smaller van but equally complex when it came to the design and finishing (and it also had to be pet friendly).

With custom upholstery, water supply, extra battery and additional AC system, this small van took some time to figure out - the entire interior holding the dog crates is removable as well.
This one definitely lives as one of our most challenging (yet favorite) builds to date!
